HOD's MESSAGE
Department of Economics was started in the year 2013 and having an intake of 20.It offers full time bachelor of arts degree in economics. Our objective is to provide well qualified economic graduates who have qualitative skills and basic knowledge an economic concepts and policies to analyse socio -economic issues.
We will enable our students with skills suitable for the industry and also to seek admission for higher studies in premier institutions in India as well as abroad.

We envision the transformation of students in to socially responsible citizens with sound knowledge in economics and it's applications in real life situation, so as to live successfully in the emerging dynamic world.

1.To gather knowledge about the economic concept along with the current issues of Indian economy and world economy.
2.To encourage the students in solving the various economic problems.
3.To make the students fit for employment.

In additional to the 2500 plus books and five journals in economics available at the maon library, the department has an in house library of around 100 books freely accessible to students at any time.

The department of economics conducts remedial coaching classes in specific subjects on a weekly basis for a selected number of students.
